TASTING NOTES (Subject to availability)

with just the right level of bitterness to make this the perfect session
ale.

become a firm favourite.
Copper Dragon Golden Pippin (3.9%)
A light refreshing blonde ale brewed using Maris Otter Malt and a new
variety of hop, creating a citrus fruit flavour.
Houston Blonde Bombshell (4.0%)
This gold coloured ale is smooth and easy drinking with a fresh hop aroma,
well rounded maltiness and a delicate fruit aftertaste.
Lymestone Stone the Crows (5.4%)
A rich red to black beer carefully crafted from the finest crystal and
chocolate malts. Chewy juicy fruit flavours give way to a deep lingering
bitterness provided by an abundance of Styrian Goldings, Millenium and
Nugget hops.
O'Hanlons Yellowhammer (4.5%)
The golden ale that's so flavour packed it's… bursting. A predominant
hop and fruit nose leads to a dry bitter finish.
Phoenix Hopsack (3.8%)
Light drinking session beer. Very hoppy.
RCH Double Header (5.3%)
A golden brew made only with pale ale malt and Goldings hops giving it
a well balanced hoppy flavour. Very drinkable – beware!!
Salamander Golden Salamander (4.5%)
A golden coloured premium ale. Brewed with Challenger and Styrian Goldings
hops this beer has an assertive hop bitterness.
Three B's Stokers Slake Mild (3.6%)
A traditional dark mild with roast malt aromas and creamy chocolate notes.
Tirril Old Faithful (4.0%)
The lightest and fruitiest of Tirril's range. Pale golden, aromatic and
well hopped, anideal summer ale. Named after Charles Gough's dog. Gough
lost his way travelling to the Quaker meeting house in Grasmere and fell
from the notrious Striding Edge. His remains were found months later,
only identified by the name in his hat. Amazingly his faithful hound still
stood guard over his body. Both Wordsworth and Keats wrote poems about
the event. His few remains are buried in the Quaker graveyard in Tirril.
Hence he is the only one of our characters still resident in the village. |
